Our Heritage
House of Building has a rich history, originating from a small painting and decorating company called J. Mizon & Sons, founded by the current owner's grandfather in 1961. For 44 years, the company specialised in small building works, with most of the staff being family members. Over time, the staff's abilities grew, and in 2005, the current owner took charge of the company and a new era was born.

New office opens
The House of Building Group opened a new shop with great presence on the Reigate High Street. With this came a new approach to building and construction, throwing off the connotations and stereotypes previously linked to this industry. Members of the public are welcomed inside to discuss their hopes and ideas for their home in person.
Staff doubles
As demand for our unique service grew along with the firms reputation it was necessary to increase our team. Skilled project managers and craftsmen were hand picked, with some still with the firm to this day they have become weaved into the House Of Building DNA.
House of Landscaping
Creating beautiful homes led naturally into taking the next step through the doors into the gardens and outdoor spaces of our clients. Our Landscaping team are second to none and first in class taking enormous pride in each area of their work.
Empty Developments
With our thirst for new challenges increasing with every project completed, House of Building Group purchased a plot of land and successfully constructed our first new build property. With every detail undertaken by our own elite team this was to be the start of a brand new era for the Company.
Garden Rooms
Covid 19 changed the way in which we work and socialise. Many families and households were struggling with the pressure of home working and home schooling - House of Building found a solution. House of Garden Rooms has created countless prestigious outdoor offices, premium outdoor Gyms and beautiful spaces to socialise and rest.
House Of Energy
With an ever increasing focus on climate change, we are conscious, now more than ever, of how our decisions affect the future of our planet. Combined with the soaring costs of energy crippling family finances- House of Building found a solution. The House of Energy provides tailored advice and solutions on how to reduce our carbon footprint and ease the pressure on household budgets.
